  • 8th Graders.  If you are interested in the Irvington High School arts magnet program and were unable to attend the information session on Tuesday, applications are available in the business office.

 

  • The Black Student Union will meet today during lunch in Rm. 28.  All students interested are eligible to attend.  Lunch will be provided to students in attendance. Show up on time and ready to meet others with the same interest.  If you have any further questions log on the Thornton BSU website located on School Loop.   • Calling all students! Show your love for Thornton by joining Junioract in a campus cleanup. The event will take place on February 13th from 2:45-3:15 after school. Valentine-themed candy will be distributed to all who participate. See you there!

 

  • Today, Leadership will be hosting a fun balloon popping game. Who will be the last balloon to survive? Come join and you can be the winner!

 

  • Winner of the quote of the week is.  Viraj V.  "CATS WERE ONCE WORSHIPED AS GODS, CATS HAVE NEVER FORGOTTEN THIS".Thank you, Ms.Wallace and Thank you to Ms. Bewley for last weeks quote. THE LIBRARY WILL HAVE A NEW QUOTE NEXT WEEK....

 

  • Homework Club will be held in room 11 on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 2:45-3:15 next week.

 

  • Starting Tuesday Feb 13th, you and your friends can compete to kill monsters and grab magic items. And what magic items! Don the Horny Helmet and the Boots of Butt-Kicking. Wield the Staff of Napalm . . . or maybe the Chainsaw of Bloody Dismemberment. Start by slaughtering the Potted Plant and the Drooling Slime, and work your way up to the Plutonium Dragon . . . The board game club will be hosting its first Munchkin tournament. Sign up in room 5, hurry space is limited. Sign ups close Monday. No prior experience necessary. Prizes for the winner.

 

  • THE LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED ALL DAY TUESDAY FEBRUARY 13TH.

 

  • Attention Music Club - Short meeting at the beginning of lunch on Friday February 9th in the Music Room. Officers - Please be there !!!  Mr. G

 

  • GLI is having a fundraiser and will be selling candy grams at lunch today and next week for $1. All donations go to global education.

 

  • PSA contest with the Mythbusters theme of “Big Tobacco...Big Lies”.  Your submissions must be either a video, poster, or audio and should appeal to ages 12 to 14.  Prizes range from $25 to $100.  Brought to you by the TUPE team.
